Sepanjang tahun 2008, kami akan merilis dua buah album indiepop yang banyak mendapat sambutan bagus, yaitu debut album milik Lucky Soul (www.luckysoul.co.uk), The Great Unwanted dan album paling baru milik Jens Lekman (www.jenslekman.com), Nights Over Kortedalla.
Lucky Soul adalah fenomena baru di scene pop Inggris, musik mereka kental dipengaruhi oleh Motown music dan campuran dengan indiepop. Sementara itu, Jens Lekman adalah salah satu musisi muda penuh talenta yang dimiliki Skandinavia beberapa tahun ke belakang. Ia berasalah dari Kortedalla, Swedia. Musiknya sangat sederhana. Tapi, kita selalu membutuhkan musik sederhana, bukan?
We also have view agendas this year. We’re going to release two critical acclaimed indiepop albums from Lucky Soul (www.luckysoul.co.uk) called The Great Unwanted and Jens Lekman (www.jenslekman.com) latest album, Nights Over Kortedalla.
Both are wonderful albums. Lucky Soul is the new phenomena from England’s local music scene with a heavy influence of Motown Music and mixture between it and indiepop. Meanwhile, Jens Lekman is a new genius from Scandinavia. He came from Kortedalla, Sweden. His music is a simple one. But somehow, you will always need a simple pop music.
Di departemen lokal, kami akan merilis debut album milik Teenage Death Star (www.myspace.com/teenagedeathstar). Debut album itu diberi judul Longway to Nowhere. Teenage Death Star adalah sekumpulan rocker veteran yang secara persona sudah memiliki cerita masing-masing di dalam scene lokal. Mereka bergabung, menulis musik, memainkannya, dan siap menghadirkan musik menarik ke seluruh penjuru Indonesia.
Singel pertama dari album ini, All Glitters Are Not Gold akan dirilis bulan Februari ini, sementara albumnya sendiri kemungkinan akan dirilis bulan Februari atau Maret 2008.
Longway to Nowhere akan dirilis di bawah FFCUTS Records.
In our local section, we’ll have Teenage Death Star’s (www.myspace.com/teenagedeathstar) debut album, Longway to Nowhere, somewhere in February or March. The album is coming from Bandung’s veteran rockers despite of this will be their debut album. Each member of the band has been gaining a respectable reputation in the local scene as themselves, and now they team up together and ready to rock around the country.
The first single from the album, All Glitters Are Not Gold will be out for public somewhere in February. Watch out for this band. The cd will be released with a bonus disc consists of secret tracks from the band.
Longway to Nowhere will be released under our rock line, FFCUTS Records.
Salah satu artis kami, The Super Insurgent Group of Intemperance Talent (The S.I.G.I.T.) sudah memulai kampanye pengumpulan dana mereka untuk pergi ke SXSW Festival (www.sxsw.com) di Austin, Texas bulan Maret mendatang. Masih belum ada detail lebih lanjut untuk jadwal penampilan mereka di festival tersebut.
The S.I.G.I.T. berkolaborasi dengan Airplane Systm, perusahaan apparel yang mendukung mereka, menyediakan sejumlah merchandise eksklusif edisi terbatas dengan tajuk The S.I.G.I.T. x Airplane Systm. Meanwhile, one of our rosters, The Super Insurgent Group of Intemperance Talent (The S.I.G.I.T.) is starting their campaign to raise some money for SXSW Festival (www.sxsw.com) in Austin, Texas, USA next March. The band will perform a set on that festival. There’s no further confirmation about the details of the show. But we will update you ASAP with that info.
The S.I.G.I.T. is collaborating with designers from Airplane Systm, their endorser, to provide exclusive limited merchandise titled The S.I.G.I.T. x Airplane Systm. Beberapa bulan yang lalu, kami sempat mengumumkan berita seputar festival musik yang diselenggarakan untuk merayakan ulang tahun kami yang kesembilan. Sempat ada beberapa masalah dengan festival tersebut sehingga membuat kami harus menundanya. Saat ini, kami merencanakan festival tersebut untuk diselenggarakan pada bulan April atau Mei 2008. Line up festival ini akan membuat anda merasa perlu untuk datang dan tentu saja, festival ini dirancang untuk menjadi festival independent paling besar di Bandung.
Jika anda penasaran dengan menu utama festival ini, sabar. Kami akan menampilkan seluruh artis lokal kami dan ada sejumlah proses negosiasi yang sedang dijalankan untuk mendatangkan sejumlah artis internasional untuk membuat festival ini benar-benar layak untuk didatangi. Tunggu saja berita selanjutnya. Anda pasti tidak ingin melewatkan acara ini.
Selain itu, festival tahunan kami, Soundshine, juga akan kembali tahun ini. Tunggu untuk detail lebih lanjut tentang acara tersebut.
Few months ago, we announced news about our music festival held to celebrate our 9th anniversary. There’d been some problem with the festival but now we’re planning it to be held on April or May 2008. We have a list of line ups that will make you feel so important to come to the festival. Plus, this will be the biggest independent festival in Bandung.
If you’re wondering what the menu is, then be patient. We’ll have all our local rosters playing and we’re in the middle of negotiations to bring some foreign acts to make the festival worth to see. Just wait for further announcement. You sure don’t want to miss this one.
